The country in its ages of construction .had no historian to set down the facta I with inK on paper, but God has writ ten with the rivers on the mountains his own unchangeable account for the understanding eye to read. Nature's ebb and flow of lifof-nnri times chisel on the peaks and in the valleys, have created the conditions of today -and have established in its coursa the great Columbia and its tributaries.
