Burtenshaw of this city celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at their home on Grant street In this city Sat urday evening, June 27. JAr. Hurtenshaw was born in England December 17, 1X24. Mrs. Burtenshaw was born in Kentucky August 17, 1831. They wore-married at Catlettsburg, Ky., June 2 7. 1848. There has been 13 chil dren, eight of whom are still living, four boys' and four girls. Forty priests of the archdiocese en tertained Archbishop Alexander Christie at a banquet yesterday afternoon In honor of the 'archbishop's tenth anni versary as a bishop of the- Cathollo church. The banquet was held in the refectory of Columbia university, and was attended by ' leading priests of the state., of Oregon. A solemn high mass was a feature of ths, morning celebra tion. The speakers referred to the remarkable ferowth of the church in Oregon since Archbishop Christie has assumed charge of ths spiritual welfare of the church.
