Business with, brewersis reported as pemg exceptionally quiet, caused no doubt by the continued falling off of Veer sales as reflected by the Internal Jievenue figures reported last week. Crop news continues uniformly good. The London "Brewers' Journal, under date of the 15th Inst, reports the yards as looking extraordinarily well, and that all indications point to a larger crop in England than was picked last year. All the large growers are devot ing tne usual attention to their yards, the smaller ones being the only negr- . lected yards. Mall reports from the continent are also excellent, and from New-' York State the continued fine weather .has kept the crop up to the iiiga average neretoroxe commented upon. The coast crops are doing fairly well, and promise good yields. Julv 1. Wheat was lifted out of the rut temporarily todav and given a chance to advance lHc or bet- ierfat tne best point -of the day. There was a broad trade with better encour agement on all aides than for some time. There wer. several good reasons ror tne strength. The weather over Kansas and Mis Bouri was wet and the forecast Is for more rains over nearly all the winter wneai states tonignt. Not only Is harvesting delayed, but dispatches claim that the rains are in juring the quality of the wheat and that there is already serious loss from "splitting" wheat. St. Louis houses reported very light country offerings today and Kansas City messages state that the millers are after the wheat there.
