EVERETT STARR DIES Well Known Stock Broker Died Suddenly at His Home Last Night. Everett C. Starr, the well-known broker, died of typhoid pneumonia at 10:30 last evening at his home at 656 Flanders street. Mr. 8tarr had been critically 111 for several days. Yester day he became unconscious. Last night he rallied slightly, regaining conscious ness for a short time, but realizing his condition he said farewell to his wife and brother, who were at his bedside. Mr. Starr was not quite 80 years old, and although not a Portland boy by birth, had made this his home ever since he came here from Victoria, British Co lumbia. 10 years ago. He had been a very prosperous and popular broker and capitalist and for three years prior to July last, was vice-president of the firm of Overbeck, Starr & Cooke company, stock brokers, with offices In the Couch building. Since that time he had been conducting independent capitalistic operations. Two years ago he married Mlas Marloa Crane at Council Bluffs, Iowa. He has two brothers in the brokerage business here.
