UNCLAIMED MONEY IN N. Y. NEW YORK, Feb. 7.-Thcre is more than $250,000 lying in the treas ury of the City of New York which is due to former employes of the city but which has never been called )or. The money was discovered by the commission which is attempting to devising a modern system of book keeping from the city. The city comp troller has asked the city council if there is not some way in which this money can be returned to the general fund. The items extend over a period of 25 years, and range in amount from 50 cents to 1.
