NEW YORK, Feb. 7. A marked
addition to the please fleet of Ameri
ca will be the new steel, twin screw
steam yacht, Iolanda, building
abroad for Morton G. F. Plant of the
New York Yacht Club, which it was
announced yesterday, would be
launched in March at Leith, Scot
land. The Iolanda is 305 feet over
all, 258 feet on the water line, 37
feet 6 inches beam and 16 feet, 6
inches draught Her engines are
capable of developing 6400 horse
power. Steam will be supplied by
two cylindrical and two water tube
boilers, no other yacht afloat having
this boiler combination. She will be
the third largest privately owned
yacht in the world.

yesterday afternoon and findings

line. Captain Amandtizon, 124 days

trio around. This vessel left this port
on the 6th of last April and went to
her berth in the Thames 102 days
later: loaded out and started back,
with the foregoing good result. She
is one of the best sailers entering
this port.
The handsome tender Columbine
came down from the buoy station
yesterday afternoon with the truant
whistlimr buov on board, which she
unshipped at the foot of Eighth
street, whence it will be taken to the
Astoria Iron Works for a general
overhauling. On Monday morning
next the Columbine will leave out for
the I'ugct Sound light stations, with
a heavy load- of supplies, among
which will be a lot of heavy lumber.
Captain Richardson expects to be
gone about two weeks.

UNCLAIMED MONEY IN N. Y.
NEW YORK, Feb. 7.-Thcre is
more than $250,000 lying in the treas
ury of the City of New York which
is due to former employes of the city
but which has never been called )or.
The money was discovered by the
commission which is attempting to
devising a modern system of book
keeping from the city. The city comp
troller has asked the city council if
there is not some way in which this
money can be returned to the general
fund. The items extend over a period
of 25 years, and range in amount from
50 cents to 1. The largest amount is
$1497.02 which is due to Robert E.
