The City Council has decided to appoint a water commissioner, to look after the water system and pipe line, instead of having it looked after bv the marshal, as heretofore. It Is thought that by this method a practical man can be kept in charge of the water system at all times, thus keeping the system in the acme of perfection. At the pres ent time there is considerable work to be done such as clean ing out the reservoir and stop ping some leaks in same.
