E. B. Moore of Cor vallis, state organizer, was present and outlined the plans which the merchants will work under. The purpose of such an association is to enable the merchants to buy cheaper, by Dooling their orders and buying . in larger quantities, also to get a better line on customers who do not pay their accounts. Twelve questions will be sub milted from which the pupils may choooe ten, for the May examina tion. I. it . t lie puon nas a garden or has done any creditable work in agriculture the teacher may give 30 per cent, for such work- In this case the pupil need answer only seven questions out of the twelve submitted. 3, If the Dupil falls low in this subject, the county superintendent may add not more than 25 per cent for a creditable exhibit at the County or State Fair.
