SUBSCRIPTION RATES One Year - - - 1 50 (Six Months - 75 Three Months - - - 50 James Schoolcraft Sherman, who was nominated by the republican national convention for the vice presidency, is a lawyer, a resident of Utica, N. Y., and president of the Utica Trust & Deposit Company. He was born in Utica, Octoler 24, 1855, graduated from Hamilton College in 1S87, and received the degree of L, L. D. in 1903. He was admitted to the bar in 1880, was elected mayor of Utica in 1884, was chairman of the New York tate republican convention in 1895 and 1900. He entered congress from the Twenty-third New York District in 1887, serving till 1891, served from the Twenty-fifth New York District from 1893 to 1903, jmd was elected in 1903 from the Twenty-seventh District, to serve until 1909.
