Mr. Jones our present Joint Rep resentative, wants the nomination to the office .to succeed himself. His record during his past term of office has been good and he has al ways been found looking after .the interests of the two counties he rcpT resents. Mr. Jones needs no in troduction as he is well known to nearly every voter in the two counties. Charles IT. fJnrdnor, w been a resident of Lincoln county for over four years, and came to our county from Portland. Mr. Gardner is a Republican, and as wo believe, worthy of the support of all Repub licans of our County and District, lie is qualified for the position he pecks, and we feel assured, should he succeed in Ix'ing elected to the position of representative, that our District will be represented by a consistent Republican, and one that will give credit to Lincoln and Polk counties. Sheriff J. II. Ross wants to suc ceed himself. Mr. Ross has made this county a good Sheriff during the past eight years and we know that if reelected the office will be conducted in the same manner. Jay AV. Dunn aspires for the humiliation of Sheriff. Mr. Dunn is one of our brightest young men and is competent to fill the office of Sheriff. lie was lorn and raised in this county awl is a Republican, lie would make this county a good Sheriff. Mr. R. R. Miller who is after the nomination of Assessor at the prim aries i a resident of Nashville pre cinct, lie is a teacher by profes sion and has leen teaching the past t'ireo years at Summit' and Nash ville.
