Mr. Durett Is out of town but Mr. Douglas will take the matter up, probably. The Coquille city council Is said to, be ready to give as liberal a franchise as any of the cities to secure better service. Will Remodel Home. W. U. Dou glas is arranging to remodel, enlarge -and otherwise improve his home on 'C avenue. Whllo tho work Is being done, the Douglas family will enjoy an outing near the lighthouse, camp ing out for a couple of months. They will go down next Saturday. Mr. McPherson's Arm has, just completed some of the largest heating contracts in the northwest, having had the contract for tho Corbett and Board of Trade Buildings, the two largest now structures in Portland. The McPher son Company deals in all the most modern heating systems steam, hot water, hot air and fans. Mr. Mc Pherson 'had 'heard much of Coos Bay and decided to -come down and look the field over.
