Tho Alli ance yesterday brought In about sixty tons of machinery and supplies for tho Gas and Electric companv which was unloaded at Porter. Tho con signment included a large engine and boiler for tho plant. To Open Streets. The city coun cil Is considering plans for opening Cedar street from Third to Front stroet and Chestnut street from Third to Eighth street. Final action lias been taken but It probably will bo within a few weeks. Visits Friends Here. II. H.
