B r A ke J ail .—Sunday night LUt, John Russell who has been coufijied in the county jail since liis time was ¿ut at the Penitentiary, succeeded in wrenching one of the cross-bars to his bed frame off and with this man aged to break the lock to the feed door through which lie crawled out and made his escape, taking with liim all of his clothing. He- was indicted in 1872 by the Grand Jury’ for horse stealing and arson 'for the first of fence he served one year in the Pen itentiary.
