Tracy is a loco motive engireer on the Northern Pa cific. The accident happened in his cab a* he was taking the engine to the roundhouse. in some manner the water gauge broke. This is on the engineer's side of the cab. The engineer got tbe full force of a boiling hot steam. He sank screaming to the floor of the cab. His fireman hastened to the side of the prostrate man He was unable to do much. He had to handle the en gine and had nothing with which to relieve the pain. Convicted felons are allowed two months for good behavior during the first year of their incarceration. Dietrich got a year's sentence, and if be l-ehaves himself he will be out at the end of 10 months. It is stated on good authority that Dietrich gets $6 a day. while in dur ance from the gamblers who put up the money to fight the law.
