At a meeting of. the board of direc tors' of this school district held on last Saturday evening, arrangements were made to purchase the block of ground now occupied by the Episcopal church, for the purpos of wring it on which to erect a new centraf school building. The transaction was made this week and the price paid was $3,300. - At a meeting held a few months ago by the members of the district it waa decided to raise $25,000 to be used to purchase the ground, erect and furnish a new building. A meeting of the directors will be held to-night to arrange for let ting the bids for the construction of the building, and it is thought that about a $15,000 one will be decided on. The block where the south school now stands and also the north school property will be placed on the market for sale, and the proceeds will assist a great deal in the putting "up. of the new building. . ' The director will sit as a board, of equalization on tomorrow (Saturday) evening for the purpose of correcting the school assessments, of the district if such ia required. .- v The Episcopalian have purchased the property on Seventh street just back of N.
