wkvtlle. We received two invilataion to attend evening parties the peat week. The firet wm from Oscar Dilley od Thursday even Idk bat were besieged with callera that evening and could nut attend. We learned from those who were there that the evening was apent in various amuse, tnenta but the greatest event of the even ing waa a recitation by Miss Elsie Dilley which waa received with applause. Miss Dilley ia a student of the Mineral Springs College and as an elocutionist, ehe haa bat few equals. The second invitation was from W..II. Millhollsn and wife on Friday evening auu we were not allowed to mate any excuse, we went and well! we were nrprised to tee so many happy faces and they were mostly Christian Kndeavorera. The meeting waa called to order by Mis Hattie Lore 1 1.. The various committees then made their reports. We were sur prised tost s a meeting so well conducted, After the meeting adjourned, the evening was spent in playing charades and games of Crokinole and dominoes and the like were p'ayed by some, while some of the younger kids played marching games. Last but not least was supper, which waa Drat class and consisted of three! kinda of cake and aandwichea and cocoa and coffee. Thlrtysix persona took up. per. The oldeat one present waa f2 (A. Y.
