COWLITZ COUNTY ROAD OPEN Flooded' Ilighway Passable Again Between Kelso and Castlo Rock KELSO, Wash., Jan. 6. (Special.) Between Kelso and Castle Bock the west side highway, over which Pacific Highway travel is being detoured while the latter route is blocked by road con struction, is open to travel after hav ing been closed for a week by high water In the Cowlltx River. The Pacific Highway will be blocked to auto travel all Winter two miles south of Castle Rock, and tourists must take the detour road from Kelso to Castle Rock. This route leaves the Pacific Highway at the Rockwood Hotel corner at Kelso, crossing the bridge to the west side and continuing up the river to Castle Rock, where the Cow- Ilts is recrossed to the Pacific Highway. From Kelso to Martin's Bluff the Pa cific Hltrhway is fair except for a few bad stretches.
