The thing that appeals to young and old alike in the old fairy tale of Cin derella is the romance of it and that Is Just the reason why "The Cinderalla Man," which will be seen here for the first time when the Alcazar Players of fer it at the Baker for the week start ing next Sunday mattinee. has been such a wonderful success. It was inspired by the reading of the fairy tale. In this case the man is very poor and it is a reverse case of the Princess going to him in his mis erable little attic, bringing with her sunshine and happiness, with a big door opening out Into the future . filled with the promise of love and the rainbow of prosperity on the horizon. Some have called "The Cinderella Man" better than "Peg o' My Heart." It ran a whole year at the Hudson Theater in New York City and has Just been released for stock.
