One of the most Important mining deals that has Ik on effected In Butte in a number of Stars was consummated today, when the CJlusa-Parrott Mining & Smelting Com pany Fold the Colusa-Parrott mine to the Anaconda Copper Mining Company. The terms of the sale have not been made Public, but it to understood the consider ation was a larpc one. In addition to the ealc of the mine this deal brings to a close the famous litigation between the C olusa people and the Anaconda Com pany, which has been in the courts for sevf-ral years. During the trial the fa mous blue vein theory was brought out. and in exploiting this theory many of the ir.ost able mining experts and scientists "Wire engaged in the case. Bcar-Afrald-of-tho-AVolf, a noted Sioux chief, has p'-mmitted suicide. His frozen body, with two dead hordes, was found yesterday in the Bear Paw Mountains. The redskin h d been jilted by a Oree maiden and had almost blown the top of his head off with a shotgun. The Indians through out the Bear Paw Mountains are greatly excited over the affair, medicine men claiming it is a forerunner of the return rf their lands by the Great Father and dancing has commenced, the yells of the .ivages resounding throughout the can- ns. Another wholc ei'c raid his been made on resorts in Kist Fourteenth street and the upper end of the Bowery. Hundreds of the habitues ivtre carried to the police station.
