pany Fold the Colusa-Parrott mine to the
Anaconda Copper Mining Company. The

close the famous litigation between the
C olusa people and the Anaconda Com

sevf-ral years. During the trial the fa
mous blue vein theory was brought out.
and in exploiting this theory many of the
ir.ost able mining experts and scientists

ously cslimaKc: that the trial of the case
cost both sice, fully $500,000. The mine
lias ben a steady producer for years, and
is still cons-idci ed one of the beet copper
riopertles or. the famous hill.
Suicide Jf n Sioux Ilravc.
HAVRE, Mont.. Feb. 22. Bcar-Afrald-of-tho-AVolf,
a noted Sioux chief, has
p'-mmitted suicide. His frozen body, with
two dead hordes, was found yesterday in
the Bear Paw Mountains. The redskin
h d been jilted by a Oree maiden and had
almost blown the top of his head off
with a shotgun. The Indians through
out the Bear Paw Mountains are greatly
excited over the affair, medicine men
claiming it is a forerunner of the return
rf their lands by the Great Father and
dancing has commenced, the yells of the
.ivages resounding throughout the can-
ns. The dead chief is a descendant of
M hite Bear, after whom "White Bear
3 ike, near SL Paul, was named. His
F'.uaw was a granddaughter of Sitting
Bull.

TO HOME BIHLDERS
We offer for sale lots in WIL
LAMETTE HEIGHTS at low prices
and on easy terms. We advance
money to build houses at 5 per cent,
interest. The principal is payable
in installments, thus making the
monthly payment about equal to rent.
Purchasers employ their own archi
tects and build their own houses ac
cording to their own designs. All
we do is to advance the money as
the building progresses. The only
restriction put on this neighborhood
is that a good class of house must
be built, thus securing a location
free from shacks.
WILLAMETTE HEIGHTS will
become the finest residence district
in the city. It has all the advantages
of down-town property sewers, gas,
electric light and Bull Run water.
Splendid view with good elevation
