W ith a m otto encouraging youth to implement self-aw are ness, the agency partners with other re-entry Portland pro gram s to help reduce the re cidivism rate in our com m u nity. They are, how ever, one o f few agencies that provide culturally specific services for cess. He also saw the need for the kids, particularly young men, to m ake im provem ents in their academ ic and social life as well as in general decision making. Moore found that skill-build ing through m entors and fam ily support was a way to help kids through the re-entry pro- setting, including areas of aca dem ics, em ploym ent, housing, healthy relationships, activities.
