nity. They are, how ever, one
o f few agencies that provide
culturally specific services for

along with M ultnom ah County
and the D epartm ent o f Human
Services, recognized the need
to address issues surrounding
youth who w ere being “re
cycled” through the system ,
esp ecially young people of
color.
Moore found that skill-build
ing through m entors and fam
ily support was a way to help
kids through the re-entry pro-
setting, including areas of aca
dem ics, em ploym ent, housing,
healthy relationships, activities.
