We have two programs avail able now that enable us to be come a more active contributor to small businesses and first-time homebuyers. Commercially, the Fresh Start R evolving Loan Fund™, developed with the sup port of the Oregon Economic and Community Development Depart ment, is targeted towards small businesses with a significant fo cus on minority and women- owned businesses. The underwriting criteria is much more flexible than tradi tional underwriting, and our loan officers are willing to provide assistance to any business or in dividual to help them understand the loan process and develop a long term financial strategy. In our resi dential lending de partm ent we have partnered with the Federal Home Loan Bank o f Seattle to provide first time homebuyers with a forgivable down pay ment grant program called Home Start. Through this grant homebuyers can re ceive up to $5000.00 tow ards the p u r chase of their home.
