Munroe was bom on December 1, 1936 in Atlanta, Texas to Isaac E. and Geneva R. (Jenkins) Allen. He passed away in San Francisco, California at the Veterans Hospi tal o f pancreatic infection on Sep tember 4, 1998 at the age o f 61 Mr. Allen was amember o f the Community ChurchofGod in Port land. He had also been a cook and was a historian. He lived in Port land for many years and has only lived in San Francisco, Ca. for the past 2 years. Mrs. Jessie Marie Floyd Mrs. Jessie Marie Floyd was bom in Warren, Arkansas on Au gust 5, 1909, she’s lived in Port land since 1943 and was a produc tion worker for N . W . Packing Can- nery and a member o f the Mt. Sinai Community Baptist Church. She passed on at the age o f 89 on September 12, 1998 here, in Portland. A n g e 11 a C h r i s t i e She is the only nationally re corded female Christian saxophon ist in the world. She is a Stellar Award nominee. She has m inis tered before both civic and reli gious leaders. She has traveled to A frica, England, Germany and a m yriad o f destinations. She has successfully established a 12-year full time music m inistry and has garnered both prom inence and co pious media coverage. And now she presents her second, national release. I felt that it tied in so well with the project be cause each hymn is one that 1 played during a major test or lesson in my life and every time God thought o f me and brought me through." Angella again sits in the co-producer seat next to producer Ryck Carter, who also produced "Eternity," her first na tional project.' 'Overall, Hymn & i is me.
