ance" are but a few o f the hymns
and spiritual songs presented in
this highly an tic ip a te d classic.
Hymn & i displays A ngellas m usi
cal m aturity and versatility from
sacred sounds to contem porary
techniques. In the coeval credence
o f Solid Rock", and the stirring
balladry o f "I Surrender A ll" as
well as the traditional declaration
o f"G re a t is thy Faithfulness," and
the urban remix o f "W alk W ith
M e," each song reflects Angellas
most precious m em ories, experi
ences and encounters w ith the Fa
ther.
R ecorded live (at her hom e
church. New Birth Missionary Bap
tist Church - Bishop Eddie L. Long,
Sr. Pastor) and in studio. Hymn &
i is accom panied by a concept
video. " I ’ll Be Thinking o f U,” a
rem ake o f an A ndre Crouch clas
sic. The song, though not a hymn,
was included on the CD as a project
com pendium . “ LU Be Thinking o f
U ," as you will see in the video, is
a rem inder o f all the times that God
has looked out for me. I felt that it
tied in so well with the project be
cause each hymn is one that 1 played
during a major test or lesson in my
life and every time God thought o f
me and brought me through."
Angella again sits in the co-producer
seat next to producer Ryck Carter, who
also produced "Eternity," her first na
tional project.' 'Overall, Hymn & i is me.
It expresses me musically as well as
spiritually. The entire project has mean
ing and significance."
