The bus purchases will replace older buses which are sched uled for retirement. The Program of Projects for FY97 also includes $871,500 in §5307 funds already requested for the W estside-Hillsboro project. All projects have been selected through Tri-Met’s planning process, which incorporates pub lic involvement, and are programmed in the Metropolitan and State Transportation Improvement Programs.
