The work includes Cleaning the exterior, Re- pointing the brick & stone mortar joints, remodeling the Book Store, installing an Elevator, providing Mechanical & Electri cal upgrades and constructing Handicapped Access to the Building. OSU is planning the work as one project. The Memorial Union is located near the center of the Corvallis Campus. The building structure is a concrete frame, with a brick and stone exterior envelope, com prising 189,208 gross square feet in three floors, with a partial basem ent and a mezzanine. The original building was completed in the 1920's with wings added in the early 1960’s. This project must be finished and ready for occupancy by August 29, 1996. $1,850,000 is available for the direct construction of this work. OSU is seeking a professional design team headed by an Architectural firm experienced in Higher Education work. The team should include members experienced in masonry restoration work, remodeling concrete frame buildings, handi capped access design, elevator retrofit and retail sales design, and other qualified consultants necessary to reach the goals of this project. The successful team will assist OSU Facilities Planning, OSU M U Staff and the User Group to develop an aggressive schedule and a com prehensive facility program. Oregon State University University Housing and Dining Renovation Project Request for Information Due January 2 5 ,199 5 Oregon State University (OSU) is preparing to renovate and upgrade W est Dining Center and W est International House, form erly called W est Residence Hall, on the Corvallis Cam pus. OSU is planning the w ork as two separate but concur rent projects. The first project, W est Dining Center, a 24,433 square foot single story concrete frame and brick veneer structure, including a 5,467 square foot basement, must be ready for occupancy by August 1,1996. The second project, W est International House, a 66,989 foot five story lift slab and brick veneer structure with a full basement, must be ready for occupancy by June 1,1997. $9,000,000 is available for the direct construction of this work. Request for Qualifications For Construction Manager/General Contractor Portland Community College, Sylvania Campus Classroom Addition/Remodel Project With approval of the Board of Directors, Portland Community College plans to proceed in accordance with Oregon Admin istrative Rule (OAR) 125-310-026 to select a Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) for the services nec essary to add ten (10) classrooms (approximately 12,0000 square feet) to the southwest area of ¿ampus and up- grade/rem odel facility offices and classrooms (approxi mately 41,500 square feet) in five different facilities on campus. This request for a statement of qualifications is the initial step toward that selection. It is the intention of Portland Comm u nity College to enter into a contract with the selected CM/GC which will include a Fixed Fee for the activities up through submittal of a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) and a percentage or Fixed Fee for all other work through construc tion and completion of the project.
