The R athe r- ine G ra y M e m o ria l Scholarship,hon oring the O A C W C ’ s first President, was established in 1954 and mandated that a m inim um o f $200 a year be given in scholarships. The mandate today es tablishes a m inim um scholarship o f $500 annually; the tea’ s success deter m ining the number o f scholarships awarded and educational support given. The past several years the Assoc ia- tion has awarded tw o to three scholar ships, donated to the United Negro College Fund, and provided stipends for attendance to the Black Colleges Conference.
