The next time you want a backyard or front-porch perfect cooler that w ill im prest everyone you serve but take little time out of your busy day, try this extravagant tropical treat. When the sun cools down at day’s end, it’s easy to bring the flavor of the islands right Io your doorstep. What gives this cooler its Caribbean Hare is its unique blend of lemonade drink mix, pineapple juice, cream of coconut and vodka or rum (o p tional). Chill in the refrigerator and serve over crushed ice for a refreshing “ island” experience. Il's great when you’re winding down at the end o f the day or as a perfect party starter for summertime enter taining. Another tropical cooler that’s just as quick and refreshing is Orangy Sauce. It takes just minutes to prepare and makes ice cream a special treat. A great topping to have on hand when unexpected friends drop in, it's easy to whip up two or three batches at time. The establishment of a Scholar ship Program for Women in Ihe H ealth Professions has just been announced by Ihe Business and Professional Women’s Foundation. The program will be funded with an annual grant of $$0,000 in each o f the next three years by the New York Life Foundation. To qualify, applicants must be 2$ years of age and older and be enrolled in vocational or academic programs of study which will enable them to im prove their chances for advance ment, train for a new career, or enter/re-enter the job market in the health care field. The scholarships will range from $250 to $ 1,000 and can be used for tu itio n , books and education- related expenses such as child care.
