For one, the steering is light and precise. A small pinion gear at the end o f the steering column oper ates directly on a “ rack** o f gear teeth that connects to the steering arms. Turn the wheel one notch o f the pinion and the rack moves exact ly one notch. No more, no less. I t ’s ideal fo r a h ig h-perform ance car like this.
