Combine re served syrup and liqueur; soften gel atin in syrup mixture. Remove grits from heat; stir in peaches, softened gelatin, and 56 cup brown sugar, mixing well. Stir a small amount of grits into egg yolks; stir egg yolks into grits mixture. Pour mixture into large bowl; chill about 1 hour or until thickened. Beat egg whites at medium speed on electric mixer until foamy.
