Their appeal is certainly international, and their success as pop music recording artists is undeniable. Now, PRO ARTS o f O hio is distributing yet another tribute to the popularity o f PEACHES A HERB. The company, this month, is distributing worldwide a 20"x28” full-color poster o f the pair. It w ill be available in record stores, specialty stores and record departments o f most major chain and department stores. National Marketing Director for Pro Arts, David Dangel, says initial orders for the PEACHES A HERB poster are very high. "W e have received excellent feedback from our sales people. There seems to be an extremely high interest in the poster. 1 think this may be one o f the top sellers this sum mer in our line.” The performers presented an autographed copy o f the poster, one o f the first o ff the presses, to TV and singing star Toni Tennille during the taping of her new NBC variety program , T H E T O N I T E N N IL L E SH O W , in Hollywood. THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH Hungary’ s Karoly Donnert makes his debut in the 110th E dition o f Ringling Bros, and Barnum & Bailey Circus with his unique Siberian and Bengal tiger act, coming to Portland Memorial Coliseum on Thursday, Sep tember 11th, for performances through Sunday, September 14th. The spectacular presentation features the big cats in a classic European repertoire o f superb feline feats plus a brillant display o f tigers riding hor seback. Son o f a famous horse trainer, the 34-year old Donnert performed for more than 20 years as an acrobat on horseback and a juggler before developing his own wild animal act. The tiger exhibit marks Donnert’s debut independent o f his five generations o f family ties and his first experience with training wild animals. He and his father had selected the tigers as cubs and the act began to take shape after a year o f intensive work. His efforts were officially recognized at the International Circus Festival of Monte Carlo in 1978, where he was honored with a special award, the "Prixdu club des Amis du Cirque Francois. ” While tigers are generally loners and do not socialize with others o f the species unless they are breeding, D o nnert’ s cats enjoy exceptional camaraderie. W hile training in Hungary, the animals roamed uncaged in a barn when not practicing and became accustomed to one another. Donnert is the uncontested authority in the cage, but the act also has an animal boss, "K in g ,” a 500-pound Royal Bengal. Although this situation does not exist in the wild, it is a natural development in animal training. Linda Green, who is peaches o f the hit recording act, PEACHES A HERB, has known since age 5 that she would be a star. But even then, it may have been hard for her to imagine being the subject of a provocative new pop poster, to be distributed around the world. The lovely Peaches' picture on the 20x” 28” full color poster may very well be the biggest seller o f the season. The quiet, shy performer says she is a little embrassed by all the fuss being created over the poster. " I don’t guess I've ever really come to terms with the star image o f myself.
