Dr. Sullivan said, "Mr. Duf fan is a brilliant adnunistra tor, having developed many special OIC programs and he is also one of the persons responsible for a great deal of the OIC success, both lo cally and nationally. He married Helen J. Hooper in 1917. He served for 42 years with the railroad, re tiring ten years ago. He served in the Merchant Ma rines during World War I. Strawder was a past member of the Billy Webb Ixxjge. IBPOE of W. Survivors include his wife, Helen; children. James Straw der. Helen Myles, and Jean ette Plummer, all of Portland; a brother. Webster; 4 grand children and 9 great grand children. Services were held Satur day. October 20 at Colonial Mortuary, with Reverend Thomas L. Strayhand offi ciating.
