IN Consrcgatlon Will Decide Soon Whether to Erect Edifice or Alter Present One. Whether the present Ts lor-P:reet Methodist Church building, at Taylor and Third streets, shall be torn down and replaced wlih a commodious modern structure, or whether the building now In use shall be enlarged to take .care of the growing congregation, are qistttions tha will lie tleclded when tho executive board holds its next meeting early In June. The committee appointed to consider tlie ad vUabillty of adopting one or the other of the two propositions will ronder its decision at that time. This committee, consisting of G. F. Johnson. David Mulr. A. King Wilson. A. M. Smith and B. 1 -ee Paget, has had tiie matter In hand for the pat three months, but &declion haa not yet been reached. Home members are. known to be favorah'c to fhe plan to build a new church, while others believe that the tim is not yet opportune for undertaking the erection of a building such as Is desired. They are of the opinion that by making a number of additions to the present church tlie necessary room will be provided with out incurring a heavy Indebtedness. The committee was at the time of lis election aeked to Investigate the matter of a new site, but the impression prevails tliat the church should remain where it Is. The church building Is one of the oloe In the city and lias been remodeled from time to time to provide for tlie growing needs of the congregation. In the event that the plan to remodel the church Is adopted, a wing will be erected on the routh side, on the property now occupied bv a marble works. The property con swts of more than a Iquarter block at the southeast corner of Taylor anil -Jhlrd streets. It has been in the hands of the congregation s-nce the founding of the church more than tn years sgo.
