www.hoodrivernews.com Hood River News, Saturday, June 6, 2015 ‘Incredible Years’ returns June 23 Come enjoy summer fun with the Incredible Years pro- gram for parents and other adults and their children 2-8 years starting Tuesday, June 23, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Indian Creek Apartments, 1615 9th Court St., northeast of Walgreens. The children will have fun activities that devel- op self-esteem and self-con- trol, emotional literacy (using the pocket full of feelings kit), anger management, and self- care. The local library, Kid- sense, Early Intervention, and other organizations will bring fun and educational activities for children. Each week, par- ticipants will receive an edu- cational toy to take home to play with their child. The pro- gram last 6 weeks and meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, with a total cost of $25 per family. A free lunch will be served to all involved. Child care providers can use this series as part of their training hours with the State Child Care Division. The Incredible Years Pro- gram is very well liked by par- ents, who say, “ I feel my kids and I understand each other better and their behavior is much more positive. We talk more about their feelings and my children are more able to focus and pay attention to what I tell them. I do much better on follow through on limit setting.
