Moses place, arrived here Sat urday w 1th his family whom he will Install on his country place. Mr. Glllum Is connected with the U. S. weather bureau at Seattle where he Is marine observer. He will retain his position there aud his sons will manage his ranch. Chase, owner of 1,500 acres of orange grove In the Riverside district was here Monday looking the valley over and Investigating the methods of growing aud packing apples. Mr, Chase met Jack Robinson, whom he formerly knew In California, and also Mauager Sproat of the Apple Grow ers' I'ulon. He was much Interested In what he saw and heard and may buy here. Louis Hendersou, who holds a re sponsible position with the govern ment In the Philippines and has leen In the Orient for two years, Is here vlHltlng his father, John Leland Hen derson, and his numerous friends Mr. Henderson Is enthusiastic In re gard to the Industrial development of I'ncle Sam's far east possessions and believes that they will prove a wonderfully fertile and prosperous territory.
