Tickets are $10 at the door. The Chorale has chosen the theme “Sing of Mary” as they celebrate the life of Mary through music. A poor unmarried teenager of Jewish linage, Mary represents the marginalized in our society, as she was marginalized in her own time. Her faith in God is what gave her hope — this is her message to us today, depicted by composers through the centuries. The Chorale interprets her story through the music of Bach, Schumann, Rachmani- noff, Rutter, Lauridsen, Cannon Beach composer Stanly Glarum, and songs such as “Ave Maria” and the “Magnificat.” The Chorale receives support from the Oregon Arts Commis- sion, a state agency funded by the State of Oregon.
