The famllv have the heartfelt sympathy of ail In their sad bereavement. The funeral, which one one of the largest ever held In this city, was held at tho family residence Tues day afternoon at 2 o'clock. The ser vices were very Impressive and were cenduoted by D. Soils Colin, of Port land. The services at the house were In English, nnd nt the Crematorium In Gorman. About 20 members of the German Society of Portland sang verv impressively nt the house and at the Crematorium. Tho floral tributes were many and magtilflclent. Many pleet8 from organizations were In evidence. Among one of the attrac tive pieces wns thnt presented by the Mllwaukle school classmates with whom he graduated In 190S. The piece was In the form of a large wheel with 18 spokes (18 pupils In his class at tho time of his graduation) one of these spokes was broken, which rep resented their beloved friend who had Just passed from them. Meyer Is erecting a small cottage to be used by them during coming camp meetings. Berger Is a very charming and Interesting speak er and is an enthusiastic Sunday School worker, and has made this trip to the Orient to be better able to carry on his work. Rev.
