A gloom was cant over the, town of
Mllwaukle on Saturday evenlliig when
word reached here that , Frederick
Strelb, youngest son of tfnvor and

illness or typnold fever. He is sur
vived by his parents, one brother, Phil
ip Strleh, nnd one sister. Miss ijzzle
Sirleb. of this clly.
Frederick was born In Portland Ap
ril 12. 1S92. and tame to this city
with his parents, about five years ago,

He graduated with high honors from
the Mllwaukle schools In 1908. and
had Just completed his first vear at
the State Agricultural College "at Cor
vnllls. w hen he left for a visit with his
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Strieb at
Cedar Mills, where his lather als

The funeral, which one one of the

day afternoon at 2 o'clock. The ser
vices were very Impressive and were

land. The services at the house were

whom he graduated In 190S. The piece
was In the form of a large wheel with
18 spokes (18 pupils In his class at
tho time of his graduation) one of
these spokes was broken, which rep
resented their beloved friend who
had Just passed from them. On the

the young man's remains.
City Council Holds Meeting.
The regular meeting of the city
council met In the city hnll Tuesday
evening. The meeting was called to
order by Recorder J. A. Dowilng.
