Congratulations to RHS head softball coach Kelsey Green who was named Comcast Sports Northwest Coach of the Year. With her win, it was announced at a recent Blazer game’s half-time show, that Comcast Sports will donate $5,000 to the Roosevelt Softball program. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Groundbreaking and BBQ There will be a groundbreaking ceremony Saturday May 2, at 10:00 a.m. – 11:00a.m. at the school. The ceremony will feature the mayor and a number of local dignitaries and Roosevelt alumni. Following the ceremony there will be a free BBQ lunch and self guided tours of the campus. Some initial construction on the campus has already be- gun including work on a temporary PE facility and some classrooms. The two year phased construction period begins in June as soon as students have finished the term. The first new buildings will open in the fall of 2016. These will be the first new high school buildings in the PPS District in over 50 years. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- P hoto of the W eek It’s PARADE TIME!!
