Both were transported to Portland hospitals for treatment to non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Officers located evi- dence of gunfire on NE 27th and a crashed vehicle at NE 28th Av- enue and Alberta. Preliminary in- formation to police indicates that the two victims, along with a third person, left a neighborhood bar and got in their car to leave when an unknown suspect fired several rounds into the vehicle as it started to drive away. The vehicle crashed and all three occupants got out to run, two of them with gunshot wounds. The third occupant left the area and has not been located nor has called the police. At this point, there is no available suspect information. The Gang Enforce- ment Team is responding to in- vestigate the shooting as possibly being gang-related. JOHNS News Release from Portland Po- lice Bureau Posted on FlashAlert: April 6th, 2015 3:43 PM On Monday April 6, 2015, at 1:33 p.m., North Precinct officers re- sponded to the Key Bank branch, located at 6815 N Lombard, on the report of a robbery. Officers arrived in the area and contacted bank employees who told police that the suspect walked up to a teller and demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect left the bank and was last seen walking north- bound on Heppner Avenue. Sev- eral officers checked the area but did not locate anyone matching the suspect’s description. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his late-30s, 6’2” tall, medium build, wearing a white baseball cap, red sweater and unknown-col- ored pants. The canine, which weighed rough- ly 100 pounds, had fallen down an embankment and suffered a bro- ken leg. The owner managed to get the dog back up to the trail, where firefighters treated it and prepared it for transport. ======================== 17-YEAR-OLD STABBED AT NEW COLUMBIA News Release from Portland Po- lice Bureau Posted on FlashAlert: March 28th, 2015 9:44 PM On Saturday March 28, 2015, at 8:46 p.m., North Precinct and Gang Enforcement Team (GET) officers responded to the 8900 block of N Newman Ave on the report of a stabbing. Officers and medical personnel arrived and lo- cated the 17-year-old male victim who was suffering from a stab wound. Medical personnel trans- ported the victim by ambulance to a Portland hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threat- ening. Officers talked to several witnesses who told police that a group of 7-10 African American males wearing red clothing were involved in the stabbing. GET of- ficers were at the scene and lead- ing the investigation. Anyone with information about the stabbing is asked to call the Police Non-Emer- gency Line at (503) 823-3333. ======================== DEADLY SHOOTING INVES- TIGATION UNDERWAY IN ELIOT NEIGHBORHOOD News Release from Portland Po- lice Bureau Posted on FlashAlert: March 28th, 2015 1:44 AM On Saturday March 28, 2015, at 1:09 a.m., North Precinct officers responded to the report of a shoot- ing at a residence on NE Mor- ris Street, between Williams and Rodney Avenues. Officers arrived and medical personnel arrived and found an adult male in the front yard, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. Officers began talking with several people at the residence, including another adult male who was involved in the shooting. At this point in the inves- tigation, there are no suspects out- standing and there does not appear to be any risk to the community.
