The City of Keizer is solic- iting applicants for volunteers to be considered to serve on the following committees. • The Keizer Points of In- terest Committee identifi es, authenticates, and memorial- izes sites of interest located in the Keizer area. The commit- tee meets on the third Thurs- day of each month at 5:30 p.m. • The Parks Advisory Board will review and study issues that involve development and maintenance of city parks and make recommendations to the city council. The board meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. • The Public Art Commis- sion will review, evaluate, se- lect, maintain, and document all artwork, public art, and pub- lic murals within the city. The commission may advise the city council and city manager on the management, execu- tion, installation, or placement of artwork, public art and pub- lic murals and will recommend guidelines for adoption by the city council for the selection and placement of the artwork. The commission meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m. • The Traffi c Safety/Bike- ways/Pedestrian Committee reviews traffi c safety issues in Keizer and make recommen- dations to the City Council for improvements. Members also recommend future loca- tions of bike lanes in the city and work to promote bicycle safety and use throughout the community. In addition to the monthly committee meet- ing, there may be other events which require extra volunteer hours. The committee meets on the second Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. at City Hall. • Youth councilor/youth liaison is for youth to have opportunities to serve on the City Council and various city committees.
