CH2M Hill, explained the Proposed Facilities and Preliminary cost estimates on the Siletz Reservation Improvement. Each item and cost was gone through with the BIA being able to take on the expenses of the parking lot and the access road. The starting figure was $927,000. The Council approved that figure at the reduced price of $425,000. MOTION: Mary Alice Muncey, to approve the HUD application in the amount of $425,000.00 SECONDED: Dave Hatch VOTE: 5 FOR 0 AGAINST ’ Councils decision was to ask Mary Fisher to reconsider her resignation and give her a months leave of absence as they felt she was a great asset. xxxxxxxx The Council commended Doni White for the fine job she did on the special exhibit of Siletz Indians art and artifacts at the Georgia-Pacific Historical Museum in Portland. xxxxxxxx Meeting adjourned. Maxine Rilatos, Siletz C.H.R. requested an electric heater for a Tribal Member that had just recently been released from the hospital. MOTION: L.D.John, to approve the purchase of the heater with the heater to be returned when no longer needed. SECONDED: Ed Case Sr. VOTE: 5 FOR 0 AGAINST e * The Chairman, Art Bensell reported on his trip to Washington, D.C., stating that he did get to meet with Senator Hatfield and Les AuCoin. He felt that a lot was accom- plifeh^dc. with the meeting of the Senators. xxxxxxxx The resignation letter from Mary Fisher was read aloud. MOTION: Dave Hatch to enter into executive session.
