Vernonia Freedom—Page 9 Thursday July23,1981 Celebrities to entertain at Queen's Coronation MONICA LOUISE BUTLER— Miss Metro East Monica was sponsored in the Miss Oregon pageant by the Mt, Hood Area Scholarship Pageant, Inc. and performed a humorous reading of “Baby Snooks and Daddy at the Doctor's*’ and made the finals in the Miss Oregon pageant at Seaside, two weeks ago. Bom in Portland, Oregon and graduated from Centennial High School, she is currently attending Mt. Hood Community College. In the future she would like to attend a professional acting and dancing school. VIKKI ANN LE BEAU— Miss Deschutes County Miss Deschutes County made the finals in the Miss Oregon pageant when she ventriloquist. performed as a Vikki is a 1981 graduate at LaPine High School. Vikki also went to the state finals in speech competition. She went to Central Oregon Community College last summer for a course in Shakespeare. Vikki enjoys rodeo riding and collects replicas of Mickey Mouse, because she says, “He makes people smile.” LANCE MILLER Lance graduated from Seaside High School and has traveled through Europe with a singing group. He is presently attending Mt. Hood Community College where he played the lead in their productions of “Grease”.
