Birch have re cently returned from the National VFW encampment held this year at Miami Beach, Fla. Mrs. Birch is widely known for her work at Camp White and Commander Birch for his raising of some >43,000 for the Oregon cottage at the VFW National Home, Eaton Rapids, in Mich, for which project B i r c h built, painted and lettered minia ture cottages supplied to every *******a*** BLOOD BANK "TIPfi" SOUGHT Local VFW and Auxiliary mem bers fam iliar with the setting up and operation of the local Walking Blood Bank have been asked for "tips" by VFW officials of the State of Maine. Kenerson, of South Hiram where they put into effect a Whlldng Blood Bank from stories they had read of Its operation in Brookings. DENNIS FADLING B HONORED AT STORK SHOWER Mrs. Dennis Fadllng was honor ed at a stork shower recently at the home of Mr. and M rs. M. A. Phetteplace. The guest of honor received many lovely and useful gifts. Refreshments of coffee and cake were served to the nineteen ladies present.
