groups, Wednesday evening, Oct.

Mr. and M rs. Birch have re
cently returned from the National
VFW encampment held this year
at Miami Beach, Fla. Mrs. Birch
is widely known for her work at
Camp White and Commander Birch
for his raising of some >43,000
for the Oregon cottage at the VFW
National Home, Eaton Rapids, in
Mich, for which project B i r c h
built, painted and lettered minia
ture cottages supplied to every

of Maine.

HONORED AT STORK SHOWER
Mrs. Dennis Fadllng was honor
ed at a stork shower recently at
the home of Mr. and M rs. M. A.
Phetteplace.
The guest of honor received many
lovely and useful gifts.
Refreshments of coffee and cake
were served to the nineteen ladies
present. Attending were Mesdames
