The in stitution, itself, is regarded by Northwest library authorities as unique in its accomplishments and has been awarded spectal at tention with a strong possibility of further study. After many years' work the library, as such, is more than proving the hopes of the ea r ly planners. Othero are now well along toward beautifying the grounds about the building. Tom McKenzie, a board mem ber. made a topographical map of the grounds. This was worked on by Gary Wimberly who has plotted an underground Irrigation system and offered further work in its Installation. Harry Lock- land came up with cost estim ates for the irrigation system and Hanscams' Store is offering a very attractive bargain on the required m aterials, which will cost in the neighborhood of $500. McKenzie says it would b e very desirable to have a few yards of coarse crushed r o c k to place on the Redwood s t r e e t front as a kind of retaining w all. The Immediate peed is th e ■Installation o f th e irrigation system so planting will n o t be until there is a probability of a rain soon. The Library Association i s being contacted for help in the financing of the project. It i s this association, together with others, who, over several years supplied the community with the library and donated it to the pub lic. »»»»»»»»»»♦»» LES SHANAHAN W ELL D R IL L IN G PAR STORE phone 2901 or GRANTS PASS GR. 6-7341 (Call Collect) K entucky S traig h t B ourbon W h isk e y I« B ZOOHÆ B h a te r. whole 38’ lb.
