In the last year we have paid off debts against the building down to $642.12. Principal amounts due are Roy Weideman, $440,51. Kerr Hdw. $123.62 and Brook ings Machine Shop $77.96. The balance in bank is $121.9£ which is on hand for nails and to pay lights, water, etc. All plumbing is in, and fixtures are on hand to be put in as soon as the rooms are sealed in with plywood. We have six rooms to seal in--kitchen, offices, lav- atorys, lockers, and cloakroom. Fixtures and plywood on hand is all paid for. All is neeed is all paid for. All is needed right now is volunteer help in nailing the plywood up. This building is for use by the Girl and Boy Scouts of Brookings, and Harbor. According to the deed to land by Mr. Ward King, the building can be used ONLY by Boy and Girl Scouts (and of course, all Scouting Committees too). Now, for past eight y e a r s Sponsoring organizations have tried to build this building. All money, m aterials and labor has been made possible by th e s e Brookings-Harbor clubs, w ith there projects, calling on general public help. All this has been done with one idea in mind—a meeting place for all Brookings Harbor Girl and Boy Scouts. More money, m aterials, labor plus more public support is need ed to finish this building for local Scout use. This committee, made up of members of all organiz ations, wish to thank all for the support on this project so far. Any questions, or donations of anything please feel free to call on any member of t h i s committee or call Mike Page, Phone 4782. 1957 BUILDING COMMITTEE Ben Jones, Blaine Gribble, Jim Koehller, C arl Berger, M rs .
