It was announced th at the Booster Night program presented by the L ecturer, Maude Long- acre in October, had not only won the first place in Oregon, but had been judged as the fifth best in the National G range contest in com petition w ith all the other state winning program s. The yel low’ ribbon for fifth place in the nation was presented Mrs. Long- acre by County Deputy Fred Adams. K err had made the trip last year as well. This year he met two mission aries in New York, and went to South America w ith them for a three week stay. He w ent into the jungles and retu rn ed w ith Indian relics, such as a bow and arrow . G ard en Club Tea The Azalea G arden club is h av ing a C hristm as Tea at the home of Mrs. George Dunning, in H ar bor, S atu rd ay December 15th from 2 p.m. to 5 p m. V isitors should be enchanted by the unusual and o u t s t a n d i n g C hristm as decorations which will greet them at the front door and in every room in the house. Because of the G arden Clubs landscaping project for the li b rary this will be a silver tea. A cordial invitation is extended to all women to attend this affair.
