An enorm ous am ount of rock and d irt fill m aterial was moved from the west side of the mound at H arris Beach S tate P ark and hauled to the site, thereby, vastly increasing the parking facilities near th«' m outh of H arris C reek. The new fill rejoins the highw ay at P ark view Drive, the end of the project, elim inating the gooseneck dip w here the highw ay crossed Ran som Creek. One looks down upon the A nderson home, now, and it is reached by an access road from the west. Curbs and sidew alks are being installed for much of the w ay from town tow ard Easy S treet, sewers have been layed anti general im provem ent of adjoining j properties. Several thousands of yards of fill m aterial is being moved on to both sides of the property just w est of Moores' Knoll and exist- ¡ng culverts have been extended to carry the small stream s which cross the highw ay there. A sew er junction has been in- ' stalled at the corner of Cheteo and Pacific, said to be the deepest—at 16 ft.—in the system. It is in a rock trench. MENTAL III XI.TII I I’ T A.
